Watch our disaster relief update video
How to help...We are working hard as a church to provide many people with all kinds of needs. The needs are changing daily and we will do our best to update this page so that you can learn what we are doing to help thousands of people throughout who have been impacted by the storm. It is our joy to serve so many who have been devastated. It is our joy to BE the church, serve others, and heal the brokenhearted.
We will be making regular updates to our social media so please make sure you visit us on Facebook to find out the latest. |
The needs throughout the community are insurmountable and changing daily. Our team was on the ground and in the water helping to pull people from their homes to safety as soon as the flood waters rose. We starting working to get people into shelters and into safe locations until the storm began to subside. Since then we have been giving food, clothing, and shelter to people who are affected.
Currently we are getting a lot of requests for food and we are continuing to work with national and local organizations to help in any way we can. We are now starting to transition into gutting homes and working with volunteers to help with salvaging any remaining materials that can be salvaged. Next we will be working with people to help get them into a more stable living environment as they transition from total chaos to intermediate housing needs. Our largest needs are for housing and transportation costs.
If you or a loved one needs help, please contact us at 225-706-8430 or email us at gracejourneychurch@gmail.com and someone will get back with you as soon as possible.
Please consider making a donation to help us serve these families and please pray for the people affected, the volunteers safety, and our pastors and staff as we serve this amazing community!
